Hemas Power PLC is a Sri Lanka-based company engaged in the investing in the thermal and non-conventional renewable energy power generation. The Company invests in power generating companies and involves in venture capital activities. The Company's business segments comprise thermal power, hydro power and others. 

As of March 31, 2012, The Company owned subsidiaries Giddawa Hydro Power (Pvt) Limited, Okanda Power Grid (Pvt) Limited, Upper Agra Oya Hydro Power (Pvt) Limited, Butama Hydro Electricity Company Limited, and Ella Dendro Electric (Pvt) Limited, as well as one jointly controlled entity Heladhanavi Limited. 

The Group invested Rs. 300mn in Panasian Power PLC on 24th April 2013 thereby increasing group stake in Panasian Power PLC to 29.3%.Value of Net assets of Panasian Power PLC as at 24th April 2013 was Rs. 953mn.

The Company's ultimate parent undertaking and controlling party is Hemas Holdings PLC.
