Eastern Merchants PLC is engaged in exporting of rubber, desiccated coconuts, cinnamon and fiber. The Company's natural rubber is exported in several forms, such as Ribbed Smoked Sheet (RSS), Pale Crepe, Liquid Latex and Block Rubber (TSR). The Company also deals in various grades of Pale Crepe, which includes Thin & Thick grade 1 X, and No.1, as well as the lower grades of Thick Pale Crepe (No.2, 3 & 4). The Company is an exporter of Bristle Fiber from Sri Lanka. Bristle Fiber is derived from the husk of the coconut. After a process of retting in water, the Bristle Fiber is separated from the husks and hackled and combed into clean bristles of varied lengths. The Company's subsidiaries include Asia Brush (Pvt) Ltd., Eamel Exports Ltd. and Asian Woodware Company (Pvt) Ltd.
